KPV
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) — α-MSH C-terminal tripeptide
The certificate for the current lot isn't published yet. Every lot is third-party tested before it ships.
Research use only — intended for laboratory research. Not for human or veterinary use.
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH, residues 11–13). It retains much of the anti-inflammatory activity attributed to the full-length hormone in research models, without the pigmentary effects associated with melanocortin-1 receptor activation. Its small size allows uptake into intestinal epithelial and immune cells via the di/tripeptide transporter PepT1, where it has been studied for its ability to dampen NF-κB and MAP-kinase inflammatory signaling. KPV has been a focus of preclinical research into intestinal inflammation, epithelial barrier function, and wound healing.
